Wine Trolley Tour Guide

The Morgan Hill Wine Trolley, owned and operated by El Toro Tours, is a new local tour company in south
Santa Clara County launching in the summer of 2024. We seek energetic and outgoing tour guides to conduct year-round entertaining, informative, and best-in-class tours and be an ambassador of the local wine region.

Responsibilities:
● Lead fun, entertaining, and informative tours of Morgan Hill and the surrounding wine country as an ambassador for the region.
● Conduct guest check-in and proactively communicate with the tour group as they enjoy each winery.
● Coordinate with wineries on arrival to ensure a smooth and enjoyable wine-tasting experience.
● Earn and maintain stellar customer satisfaction scores, making Morgan Hill Wine Trolley the highest-rated wine tour company in the South Bay.
● Conduct trolley pre- and post-tour checklists and prep schedules.
● Maintain a safety-first environment at all times.
● Wears company-provided uniform of shirt, jacket (as needed), and cap (optional)
● Capture photos and videos of customers and tours for use on social media
● Other duties and tasks as assigned

Desired Experience and Requirements:
● Previous front-line customer service and/or sales experience
● General knowledge of Morgan Hill and surrounding towns
● Safety minded
● Personable and outgoing personality.
● A great communicator who is curious about others.
● Able to tell stories and multi-task.
● Nimble problem solver.
● Fluid English speaker. (Other languages are a plus.)
● Knowledge and experience creating short social media posts (Instagram, TikTok)
● Public speaking experience is a plus
● CPR or First Aid certification is a plus
● Able to work weekend tours between 12 pm and 6 pm. (Additional weekend and weekday tour shifts will be available for private charter tours.)
● All employees are subject to a background check and must be eligible to work in the United States. (Visa sponsorship is not available for this position)

Compensation & Benefits
● Hourly pay ranges from $21.50 - $25 per hour, depending on experience + tips

About El Tour Tours
Founded by two Morgan Hill residents and wine enthusiasts, El Toro Tours is launching the Morgan Hill Wine Trolley during the summer of 2024. This woman- and minority-owned local business will serve south Santa Clara County wineries and event venues with fun, unique, and Instagramable transportation options for locals, tourists, and private event guests. We will sell individual tickets for pre-planned wine tours on a motorized cable car trolley. Additionally, we will offer private tours, events, and shuttle services.
